Why we built it
Every new project needs a favicon, and it's usually the last thing anyone thinks about. Most tools either hide the download behind a signup, add a watermark, or upload your work to a server you know nothing about. We wanted something faster and more respectful: open the page, design an icon that actually reads at 16 pixels, and download everything a modern site needs.
How it works
FavMint runs entirely in your browser. Text is converted to vector outlines, icons are drawn from the open-source Lucide set, and every file, from favicon.ico to the Android icons and web manifest, is generated on your device. There is no backend, no account, and nothing you design is sent to us.
- Favicon studio: letters, initials, 2,100+ icons, shapes, gradients, and pixel-true previews at real sizes.
- Logo maker: wordmarks, lettermarks, monograms, and icon + name lockups that reuse your favicon.
- Full export: SVG, PNG in 11 sizes, multi-size ICO, Apple and Android icons, and the HTML to install them.
What we believe
- Free means free. No trial, no watermark, no paywalled export.
- Private by design. Your work stays on your device unless you choose to share a link.
- Small details matter. A favicon is tiny, so we obsess over how it looks at 16×16.
- Your designs are yours. Use them on any personal or commercial project.

FavMint is built and maintained independently. Ideas, bug reports, and kind words are all welcome on our contact page. Or skip the reading and open the studio.
